Through all the blogs I’ve posted they lead to two things, the balance and imbalances of our mind, body and spirit. Each element flawlessly flows with the other to create harmony and when one’s off balance, it throws the others into the loop. Everyday I’m trying to create more and more mindfulness with myself and all around me and I want to offer you insight on my own journey for your personal inspiring life. If you want to delve into the intricate relationship between the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being and how imbalances can influence one’s life please keep reading.
First, let’s get to know the Mind, body and spirit and what they are and what they connect with.
Mind: These are our thoughts, emotions, memories and beliefs.
Body: The vessel we reside in and how it functions.
Spirit: This is the purpose we find within ourselves. The power we possess and how we perceive ourselves.
There are endless ways to throw one of these elements off track. There are enormous amounts of studies that show a lack of sleep can negatively impact your mental state. Causing imbalances in hormones, impaired mental functioning, the list can go on. Studies show the food we consume can positively influence our moods, health and wellbeing. The environments and people we surround ourselves around have just as much of an impact that our relationships to self does.
Have you felt tired, overwhelmed, depressed, quick tempered or anxious? These might be signs that you have an imbalance in your emotional well being, physical self or spirit. Here are a few more indications that your functions are out of whack.
Trouble concentrating
Lack of passion
Digestive issues
Neglecting your own needs
Trouble sleeping
Brain fog
Negative self talk
Migraines
High blood pressure
Making decisions without understanding your emotional state and physical needs
Body pain
Sadly, the amount of problems that can be caused due to the imbalances is never ending and usually gets worse when not being tended to. So keep following along to learn new ways to tend to our spirits, to heal our body’s and to help our minds.
Here are a few tools that can help rebuild the functions that our psyche has:
Take time everyday to have quiet. Welcome the silence and listen to the thoughts in your head. Reflect on how your body feels. Research shows that even 5 minutes can significantly improve your health and wellbeing.
Focus on what you enjoy. Want to keep it simple? Turn on some music and let your body move. Dance for a whole song.
Sleep on a schedule. Sleeping well can make our days more manageable and help us have more patience. This makes it easier to handle stress and anxiety.
Feed your soul with nutritional foods. In this world today, everything is just so expensive making it difficult for many families to eat adequate nutrition. Explore local food banks, buy grains, nuts, seeds and legumes in big quantities. They are more affordable and store well for long periods of time.
Center yourself to your breath. Imagine each inhale is a worry and on the exhale you release some of that tension.
Maintain healthy relationships.
Make time to prioritize yourself and work on time management. Plan out times where you can have personal time with yourself and manage the tasks we have for the days.
Explore new opportunities.
Be open to change and challenges.
Get out and enjoy our beautiful Mother Earth. Give her the opportunity to ground us, refreshing the energy throughout our body.
Find time to point out things you’re grateful for. When we acknowledge what we have and the gift it is to have we create more happiness inside of us. Studies show that people who practice gratitude have better sleep, relationships, reduced stress and anxiety. So why not try pointing out 3 things you’re grateful for once a day?
Everyday, I remind myself I am a warrior. I’m strong, resilient and ready to grow. I love my body, mind and spirit. I am ready to fight and claim the power that’s always lived inside of me. I want you to join me and fight for yourself. Dedicate the time you deserve to rebalancing and harmonizing all that you consist of. You are beautiful. You are resilient. You are tougher than you can imagine. You can find peace in this life and journey that’s embarked upon you. You can find balance.
